Water bottles: Good for people and the environemnt

More and more people are paying attention to their health and diet. It’s not just about the right meals and ingredients, but also about drinking enough water each day. Many people find it difficult to achieve the recommended amount of just 1.5 liters a day, not to mention 2-3 liters depending on daily exertion. This makes it all more important to both monitor our fluid intake and to drink more, which is why people are turning to water bottles, which they carry around with them throughout the day. Reason enough to talk about this important product.

Water bottles are practical

People of all ages have water bottles, from toddlers in kinder garden to athletes in the gym and even the elderly in many retirement homes. If you want to monitor your fluid intake, it’s best to opt for a bottle with a fill level scale. While we’re on the subject, the fill level can also be crucial, depending on the activity, don’t forget that 1 liter of water means a kilo to carry. So sometimes 500 ml bottles are better and easier to bring with you. Nevertheless, 1 liter bottles, as we know them from disposable bottles from the supermarket, are becoming more and more popular.

Drinking bottles are most commonly filled with water, flavoured water or juice. However, it is important to note that many modern drinking bottles are only suitable for non-carbonated drinks. As a rule, drinking bottles that are to be used primarily or also for sparkling drinks should only have a screw cap. All bottles that have a push button for drinking can otherwise be used without opening them completely would either be pushed open by the gas produced in the bottle or “explode” in all directions if they are used after standing for a long time. Additionally, there are also bottles with infusers to flavor the water with fruit.

Printed drinking bottles everywhere

As already mentioned, water bottles are used in many places and by many people. For some occasions, drinking bottles with straws are certainly more suitable than other bottles, for example when doing martial arts with (boxing) gloves or when spinning to keep pedalling while taking a sip. But it is precisely this versatility that makes water bottles with your logo a promotional item with a high level of exposure to the public.

Environmentally friendly water bottles

Let’s face it, reusable water bottles filled from taps are more environmentally friendly than regularly buying new disposable bottles that need to be recycled. But if you decide on a drinking bottle, you can also make other environmentally conscious decisions. It goes without saying that a drinking bottle must be food-safe, but BPA-free or made of glass strike an even better balance. Some people prefer a stainless steel bottle, but RPET or other options are also available. But this is entirely up to the user’s choice and preference.

Last but not least: cleaning and care

When deciding on the right material, we come to a very important question about drinking bottles. As they should last a long time, the question arises: How do you clean them? The answer to this depends on the material of the water bottle.

Please note: Not every water bottle is dishwasher-safe. This depends on the material of which the bottle itself and the cap are made. Please note that most lids are not dishwasher-safe at all or only at very low temperatures. Otherwise, the rubberised rings to hinder the leaking will shrink and even get porous or break. In the case of promotional items or other bottles with print, it is particularly likely that the print will fade if you put them in the dishwasher.

So what are you waiting for? Get yourself a matching drinking bottle to keep yourself hydrated. Or would you like to make others happy with a printed water bottle as a promotional item? Then our sales advisors at IGO will be happy to help you personally.
